Housed in the historic inn building in Prague’s Hanspaulka neighbourhood, the two-storey U Matěje Restaurant is the larger of two sister establishments. Insiders know of a tiny secret doorway. Just beyond the entrance, hidden in the wooden panelling, lies an inconspicuous door that’s easy to miss – yet passing it by would be a mistake. Behind it awaits chef Jan Punčochář’s second haven, the cosy and welcoming Stůl Restaurant,
where the chef and his team cook right in front of their guests in an open kitchen. The concept is centred around seasonal high-quality ingredients and modern international cuisine with no fixed menu.

Our quaint restaurant with a Chef’s Table concept seats only twelve guests. When booking, please state your preferences, potential allergies or dietary restrictions and leave the rest to us. Our sommelier will make your experience complete with a selection of wines from our well-stocked wine cellar.
